In 2005, the Long Island Press published a ground-breaking story on auditory processing disorder. It marked the beginning of a series called “Our Children’s Brain’s,” which was later expanded to “Our Children’s Health.” Since then the Press has published more than 35 cover stories related to children’s health and the environment. This award-winning series is available for the first time in its entirety here on LongIslandOrganic.com in addition to new articles and features that are being added and updated constantly.
Long Island Organic has partnered with several local non-profit advocacy groups to help provide quality information for public use. These institutions share many of the same characteristics; they have low overhead, a high commitment to the local environment, significant success stories and longevity. As content partners, these organizations will provide information from press releases and petitions to white papers and original research.
Advertising on LongIslandOrganic.com is prohibited. Our support comes from Morey Publishing and a partnership with My Healthy Thing, a locally owned and operated organic vending company. My Healthy Thing provides energy efficient machines with organic food and beverages that supplies commission to the company or school that carries them. There’s no charge for delivery, installation or service and the machines are visually appealing. If you own a business or work in an office with more than 100 employees, represent a school district, run a recreational facility and are interested in providing healthy, organic food to your employees or customers follow this link.
